FA40 #001: The #1 Fat Loss Mistake Keeping You Stuck (And How to Fix It)

Feb 08, 2025

If you’ve been trying to lose fat but feel like you’re spinning your wheels… you’re not alone.

I see it all the time—people doing all the “right” things but still not seeing progress.

And the #1 mistake?

Trying to be perfect instead of being consistent.

Here’s the truth:

Fat loss doesn’t come from perfect workouts or eating 100% clean. It comes from sticking to the basics long-term.

Think about it…

We know the person who works out 3-4x a week for months will get better results than the one who trains hard for two weeks and quits.

We know the person who eats mostly healthy, but allows for balance will see more success than the one who follows extreme diets, then binges.

We know the person who stays consistent through life’s ups and downs will always beat the one who starts and stops over and over again.

Which begs the question...What should you do instead?

You should focus on small, sustainable habits. Walk daily, eat enough protein, lift weights 3-4x a week, get quality sleep.

You should stop chasing "perfection" and start chasing progress. One “bad” meal doesn’t ruin your results—quitting does.

You should think long-term, not short-term. The goal isn’t just to lose fat—it’s to build a lifestyle that keeps it off.

The secret to fat loss isn’t a crash diet or magic workout plan. It’s doing simple things consistently for months and years.

Instead of trying to be perfect this week, focus on being just 1% better each day. It’ll add up faster than you think.

Have a great weekend,
