Feb 03, 2024

You work full time.

You have a couple kids.

You also want to spend time with your spouse.

And you also want to do everything you can to maintain a healthy lifestyle and drop some bodyfat.

And let's be brutally honest, it's incredibly difficult as a busy adult trying to maintain a healthy diet because of all the commitments pulling on you.

But it can be done.

It's important to focus on foods that are nutritious,

convenient, and support your energy levels.

So today, I am sharing with you 5 foods you should be eating when trying to drop fat.

Let's jump in!

5 Foods to Eat When Trying to Drop Fat

  1. Vegetables
  2. Fresh Fruits
  3. Lean Protein
  4. Greek Yogurt
  5. Nuts and Seeds

1. Vegetables

Why: Vegetables are essential for a well-rounded diet.

Pre-cut vegetables, such as carrot sticks, bell pepper strips, or cherry tomatoes, are convenient and can be easily incorporated into meals or enjoyed as snacks.

They are rich in vitamins, minerals, and fiber.

2. Fresh Fruits

Why: Like vegetables, fruits are essential for a well-rounded diet.

Do everything you can to Incorporate whole fruits like berries, apples, and citrus fruits into your diet.

Fruits offer vitamins, minerals, and fiber, making them a nutritious and convenient snack.

Keep pre-washed and chopped fruit on hand for quick and easy access.

3. Lean Protein

Why: Incorporating lean proteins into your diet is essential for muscle maintenance and overall satiety.

Grilled chicken, baked fish, or tofu are versatile options that can be prepared in bulk and used in various dishes throughout the week.

4. Greek Yogurt

Why: Greek yogurt is a protein-rich dairy option that can be a quick and satisfying snack. It also contains probiotics, which are beneficial for gut health.

I tend to choose plain, unsweetened varieties and add my own fresh fruits for sweetness and more quality nutrients.

5. Nuts and Seeds

Why: Nuts and seeds, such as almonds, walnuts, chia seeds, or flaxseeds, are nutrient-dense and provide healthy fats, protein, and fiber.

They are portable and make for a convenient on-the-go snack.

In Summary

Beyond these foods, remember to stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water throughout the day and consider portion control to manage calorie intake.

Planning and preparing meals in advance can also save time and help you stick to your dietary goals, even during busy days.
